16.2.3.2 The RMI Registry Facility The RMI registry facility is used by the Remote Method Invocation subsystem to keep track of the communication details for RMI Servers. An RMI Server is any COS instance that contains the remote code. An RMI Server is merely a COS instance that provides a callee that directly uses the RMI mechanism for Remote-Code Execution.
