By using the alignment options in the Table Inspector, you can align your table and cause the text that follows the table to wrap around it on the left or right side of the table. This method of alignment writes the align attribute into the <table> tag. To set a table s alignment and also effect text wrap, follow these steps: 1. Select the table. 2. In the Table Inspector s Table tab, choose one of the following alignments from the alignment pop-up menu: Left alignment forces the table against the left edge of the browser window. The causes text to be rendered after the end of the table, to its right. The text then continues along its right edge until it reaches the bottom of the table, and then, after the table ends, it flows against the left border and falls across the entire page. Text must remain left-aligned to create this effect. Right alignment forces the table against the right edge of the browser window. When the browser is made wider or narrower, the table moves along with the right edge of the browser, repositioning the table in relation to the items around it. Text then flows up to the left edge of the table, wrapping to the next line when it gets to the table. It continues to flow up to the table s left edge until it reaches the bottom of the table, and then falls across the entire page. Text must remain left-aligned to create this effect. By default when you place a table, the option selected is Default and no alignment attribute is written. The default alignment has no text wrapping effect. It provides no specific instruction for the table, so the table takes on the alignment of the line that contains it. When you want to remove the alignment attribute from the table tag, select Default.

was formed in September 2001; its members include representatives from multiple clinical and operational personnel, like cardiology, laboratory, pharmacy, medication administration, and interdepartmental information sharing. Work to identify key problems and expertise in these elds has progressed well. The eight new domains and the expanded domain radiology were presented earlier in Section 9.5.3. 9.5.5.2 International Expansion IHE has expanded internationally. Demonstrations held in Europe and Japan have received the enthusiastic support of healthcare providers and vendors. Three additional goals have emerged: (1) develop a process to enable U.S.-based IHE initiative technology to be distributed globally, (2) document nationally based differences in healthcare policies and practices, and (3) seek the highest possible level of uniformity in medical information exchange. Figure 9.13 shows a scene from an IHE world workshop demonstration in 2006. 9.6 OTHER STANDARDS AND SOFTWARE
