To be fair, SolidWorks has fixed the Huge Screws problem in the 2007 version, by coming up with a clever method for figuring out which size is missing and building it on the fly when the assembly is opened. Additional information about the Toolbox parts is now stored in the assembly, which helps identify the missing parts. Unfortunately, the fix only works for assemblies that use the parts from the new 2007 library and assemblies that have been built in SolidWorks 2007. To sum up, if you have assemblies built in an older version of SolidWorks, and your Toolbox library becomes corrupted or lost, or you are sent an assembly that uses a different Toolbox library, even if you are working in SolidWorks 2007, you cannot benefit from this fix.

evolution of the Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) network; as a consequence, GSM operators migrating to a third-generation system prefer the GSM-style network). The standard is strongly supported by computer chip manufacturers, which will build WiMAX RXs into most laptops. This leads to an automatic customer base for WiMAX. However, WiMAX is a yet unproven system with no established customer base, and tries to compete with a system that has strong support from the cellular industry and hundreds of millions of customers. At the time of this writing, only one major operator each in the U.S.A., Japan, and Korea, has committed to widespread WiMAX deployment. Even more dif cult to predict will be the competition between 3GPP-LTE (Long-Term Evolution) (see 27) and 802.16e. Those systems will use quite similar technology, so that market dynamics will outweigh technical considerations even more. Similarly, their extensions, LTE-Advanced and IEEE 802.16m, will compete head-to-head.

Transact-SQL Yes, there is an SQL Server program to build databases, but there is also a programming language that allows you to program transactions against this database. It is called Transact-SQL (or T-SQL). To program against an Oracle database, you would use PL-SQL, which is similar to T-SQL, but with slightly different syntax (it's more like C). Using T-SQL, you can send a wide variety of commands to the database. Here is a short list of some examples: To select the entire table of data from the database, use Select * from Customers. To select only a selected row of data, use Select * from Customers where customerid = 11. To select only certain information and then reorder the data based upon selected parameters, use Select firstname, lastname from Customers order by lastname. The last example selects the first name and the last name of each person in the Customers table. T-SQL then rearranges this data based on the customers' last names. With T-SQL, it is also possible to use various other commands to perform the actions needed in the database. Table 31-1 lists the main commands to use in T-SQL statements. Table 31-1: T-SQL Commands T-SQL Command Select Description Selects specified data from the chosen table. The programmer can then use this data in a number of different ways. Inserts a row of data into the database. It basically creates a new row of table data. Updates a chosen number of rows of data. By updating table data, data is changed permanantly within a field. Deletes a specified number of rows. It is possible to delete from one row of data to every row in the database.
When you use the value of the value1 variable in the assignment statement, you must still use the dollar sign. This code produces the output:
