.Members: Lists all of the individual members of either a hierarchy or a level. Used with a level, all the members of that level are listed (e.g., [Date].[Calendar].[Month]. Members returns all calendar months). When used with a hierarchy, all members from every level are listed (e.g., [Date].[Calendar].Members returns every year, semester, quarter, month, and day). .Children: Lists all the children of a given member (e.g., [Date].[Calendar].[Calendar Quarter].&[2002]&[1].Children returns all the months in first quarter of 2002).

Implemented classes Getting started with the DictionaryBase Adding functionality DictionaryBase properties and methods The Dictionary Object in Visual Basic 6 was accessed through the Microsoft Scripting Runtime Dynamic Link Library (Scrrun.dll). In Visual Basic .NET, the Scrrun.dll can still be referenced but there is a new, .NET way of creating a Dictionary style collection. A Dictionary style collection is similar in function to a standard collection except that it stores information in key and value pairs instead of just the value. Visual Basic .NET includes a class named DictionaryBase that is defined as MustInherit and it implements three interface classes: IDictionary, ICollection, and IEnumerable. The DictionaryBase class is part of the System.Collections namespace. Inheriting this class makes it easy to create a strongly typed collection consisting of associated keys and values. A strongly typed Dictionary collection accepts only a specific key type and a specific value type and exposes the same specific key type and specific value type Note A MustInherit class can only be used as a base class. It cannot be instantiated and will give an error if an attempt is made to use the New constructor on it. Most of the DictionaryBase class members are declared Protected, therefore they can only be accessed through a derived class. This means that in order to gain access to them from outside the derived class, the code must be added. This chapter demonstrates how to implement the DictionaryBase class as well as its properties and methods. The code examples are intended to provide an idea of how to build a DictionaryBase collection class for use in personal projects. This chapter also takes a brief look at the interfaces implemented by the DictionaryBase class.

Search query The string of words and characters used to perform a search engine search. Secondary search engines Search engines that are more targeted in nature than primary search engines. These search engines are also smaller than primary search engines. Seeded The process of loading a search crawler with URLs to examine. Server-side include An easy server-side scripting language used almost exclusively for the Web. As its name implies, its primary use is including the contents of one file in another, via a web server. Server-side redirection A method of URL redirection using an HTTP status code issued by a web server in response to a request for a particular URL. The result is to redirect a user s web browser to another web page with a different URL. Simple directories A basic web directory that usually allows users to perform a search. Site map A document that outlines where every link leads. Also a document that s included in the HTML code for a web page that directs crawlers where to go. Site mirroring Including an exact duplicate of a web site in another location, usually stored on another server. Social bookmarking A way for Internet users to store, classify, share, and search Internet bookmarks. Social-media optimization A set of methods for generating publicity through social media, online communities, and community web sites. Social networks A social structure made of nodes (which are generally individuals or organizations) that are tied by one or more specific types of relations, such as values, visions, ideas, financial exchanges, friends, kinship, likes or dislikes, conflicts, trade,

In the interests of simplicity, Calendar does not include some common desktop/web calendar views like Week or Work Week. Calendar also does not, curiously, reorient its display when the phone is held in landscape mode. You know, where a Week-type view would make particular sense. Maybe in the next version.
