Options for personalizing your taskbar are located in the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog box, which you can get to by using whichever of the following techniques is most convenient: Right-click the Start button and choose Properties. Click the Start button and choose Control Panel. Then, click Appearance and Themes (if available), and open the Taskbar and Start Menu icon. Your options are: Lock the taskbar: If you select this option, you ll lock the taskbar, which will prevent you from accidentally moving or resizing it.
